Copper Recycling in Minto

You are not required to sort or clean anything — we assess mixed loads. However, a few things reliably improve what a load is worth:

  • Keep non-metal out: Timber, plastic, and concrete reduce the assessed weight.
  • Stage the load: Consolidate in an accessible area with clearance for our vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum load size for collection in Minto?

What happens if my load is under 3 tonnes?
We can still collect it, but a fee applies rather than a payment to you. Under-minimum loads cost more to collect and process than they return, so the fee covers the vehicle, labour and handling.

Payment on qualifying loads is made by electronic funds transfer. Registered scrap metal dealers in NSW are prohibited from paying for scrap metal with cash under section 12 of the Scrap Metal Industry Act 2016.
